Sun Valley Resort

I’ve had the opportunity to go to the Sun Valley resort the last 10 years in a row as part of a conference. What a beautiful place in the winter even though there wasn’t as much snow this year, it still was magical. The area is special. The service is top-notch. The food is wonderful and of course the staff has great attitudes and great diversity from across the country and the globe. I look forward to having my wife go there and spend some time without having to do business. Thank you for providing a wonderful venue and experience

Great experience from the moment we drove into the parking lot. Friendly and helpful staff everywhere we went. The food and cocktails were spendy but absolutely delicious. We will definitely be back.

Friendly hosts, great skiing and perfect weather Sun Valley is hard to beat. However there are too many out of control fast skiers in family/slow zones. I was almost taken down by a reckless boarder in the lower river run area. Would like to see more pro active control of reckless skiers, I.e., have someone stationed in slow zones monitoring speeders and either ticket or revoke lift ticket privileges for repeat offenders. Have seen this work at other resorts.

Sun Valley Bald Mountain is great for ski vacation. Had great lunch at the golf course. Manager of golf course restaurant was friendly and accommodating.Top notch service. The Yellow coats guest services on the mountain are awesome particularly Ann and Bill. Snow making was amazing

Sun Valley Lodge has a quiet charm that’s hard to replicate with modern hotels. The atmosphere feels classic and the service throughout the property is great. We stay here every time we go to Sun Valley. The bar is a standout—the service there is excellent. Breakfast, however, would benefit from more vegan options, as the current menu is fairly limited in that regard. The rooms are a bit outdated, but they’re spacious and comfortable, with large bathrooms that are a definite plus. The highlight of the stay is the heated outdoor pool and the poolside service to the large hot tub. It’s the perfect place to unwind after a day of activities and adds a lot to the overall experience.

Upon arrival I saw a Bald Eagle flying up the river by the base lodge. I enjoyed the terrain and climate 39*. The skiing was terrific most everywhere except on the south exposed slopes where it was thin coverage in some areas. Renting skis was a breeze and the food on the mountain was exceptional compared to other ski areas. I’ll be back w my family again next year. Great staff

We love the lodge amenities and spa. The Bald Mountain lodges are spectacular. We have experienced ski resorts throughout the USA and Europe and have found Sun Valley to be the best by far! The service and attention to detail is nothing short of outstanding.

Sun Valley is a very unique historic resort with a commitment to it's rich past and a sound, well evaluated approach to its present and future. Being privately owned ensures the likelihood that this will endure for the many years to come. Aside from the magic of Sun Valley ... the ski area and its people are very professional and friendly, the mountain crews do an amazing top tier job with grooming and general maintenance. There is always the confidence that Sun Valley will give its guests the best time possible, no matter the circumstances. Baldy is an awesome mountain, nice steep, consistent pitches on nearly every run... I never get bored... and can still be challenged with the diversity of the terrain. The sunny days are especially nice ...

Park is amazing, bald Mountain is no joke and a great opportunity for intermediate and advanced skiers. Not very beginner or super family, friendly, but there’s dollar amount for that. No lift lines, amazing lodges, incredible amenities all around. The resort itself is fantastic with great food options, really well appointed rooms with a ton of space, and great service. If you can get a direct flight to Sun Valley, it’s only like a 20 minute ride to the village. And the town of Ketchum is great too!

Sun Valley does everything right: from the little stuff like clean bathrooms and eating areas in beautiful lodges to miles and miles of beautiful runs, groomed and ungroomed. Always a kind and polite, professional staff at SV. At Warm Springs and Seattle Ridge, we enjoyed good food (with a good variety of healthy stuff) and a warm atmosphere. We just wish that our home area took some tips from Sun Valley. See you again soon, we hope!
